A modern facility with high-tech equipment
Since November 2014, we’ve been operating from our purpose-built production facility in Curcani, just 50 km south of Bucharest.
With direct access to the DN4 motorway, the location offers excellent logistical advantages. The building was designed around the ideal product flow for our core activities and offers ample space to support a broad and growing product portfolio.

We’ve designed our facility with both performance and people in mind. Over 1,000 square meters of windows in the production hall bring in natural daylight, creating a bright and pleasant workspace at every station.
Capacitive floor heating ensures a stable, even temperature throughout the hall, with minimal energy use and without the air movement typical of traditional heating. This creates optimal conditions for our Plymovent® Diluters, which continuously filter the air from welding and grinding particles.
To reduce physical strain, we’ve equipped the hall with multiple cranes and lifting systems. Internal transport is handled by electric lorries, eliminating the need for combustion engines inside.
In our separate, climate-controlled machining area, we operate a high-precision CNC boring machine, delivering consistently accurate results in a validated, dust-free environment.

Two plasma and oxy-fuel cutting systems provide an abundant capacity in Steel and Stainless Steel cutting. Plates sizes up to 15 x 3,5 meters and thicknesses up to 80 mm with plasma and 320 mm with Oxy-fuel. The bevel cutting option assures a high quality and efficient preparation for the further processes.
With a CNC-controlled cylindrical and conical rolling capacity of processing material up to 2.500 mm width and a thickness up to 50 mm, accuracy, repeatability and efficiency are guaranteed.

The NC-controlled machine processes extrusions and profiles with section modulus up to 600 cm3 with repeated accuracy and efficiency.

With a range of presses up to 2000 tons force, Stentor is capable of handling the most demanding forming requirements in the market. Inside nozzle shells up to 3.000 mm diameter and 30 mm wall thickness can be pressed from a single piece of material providing the most accurate inlet curves in the market.
Combined with the in-house tool and model shop Stentor provides a complete array of services aimed at high quality, heavy duty parts.

In 2014 Stentor took delivery of a specially designed and purposely build spinning machine. Although some similar machines are available in the market, Stentor decided to create an optimized version based on Stentor requirements and a careful analysis of all essential parameters and possible constraints. In close cooperation with a Dutch specialist design and construction firm the machine has been developed and was installed in late-autumn 2014. After an extensive testing period and creating many test products Stentor is offering spinning technology for all nozzles (with focus on > 3.000 mm) to its customers.

Stentor has an extensive range of welding machines that are capable of high quality welding of all well-known materials. Combined with Welding Quality Management processes in accordance with ISO3834-2:2005, regular training, external tests and Class Society welding approvals Stentor provides a reliable base for all welding activities

Submerged Arc Welding with a capacity up to 1.200A is combined with NC controlled manipulators capable of handling products up to 30 tons and an external diameter of 7.800 mm.

Our machining capabilities range from basic activities such as Milling and Lathe operations to the most demanding CNC controlled operations in horizontal boring. In-house components up to 7 tons can be handled within the approximate 3 x 2 x 2 meter space envelope, larger structures can be machined at our, nearby, designated partners.

In the in-house shot blast cabin, structures up to 7 x 7 x 4 meters can be handled. Stentor uses chilled cast steel grit for optimum results with full recycling. Combined with the paint shop the conservation loop is closed and quality guaranteed.

The Stentor Paint shop is capable of handling most paint systems, varying for a simple shop primer to complex, multi-layer conservations. With in-house mixing and testing Stentor warrants the quality and maintains this on the level dictated by the original manufacturer.

With two advanced cutting systems in-house, we offer high-capacity cutting for both steel and stainless steel. We handle plate sizes up to 15 × 3.5 meters, up to 80 mm thick with plasma and up to 320 mm with oxy-fuel. Bevel cutting capabilities ensure precise, clean cuts that are ready for the next production stage.
Our CNC-controlled rolling systems allow for both cylindrical and conical shaping of materials up to 2,500 mm wide and 50 mm thick. The result: consistent accuracy, reliable repeatability, and streamlined efficiency across every project.
With NC-controlled pipe bending, we shape profiles and extrusions with a section modulus up to 600 cm³. The process guarantees dimensional accuracy and repeatability, time after time.
Thanks to our pressing capacity of up to 2,000 tons, we can handle even the most demanding forming challenges. We press complete nozzle shells up to 3,000 mm in diameter and 30 mm wall thickness from a single piece, delivering optimal inlet curves and structural integrity. Combined with our in-house tool and model shop, we provide complete forming solutions for heavy-duty applications.
In 2014, we commissioned a custom-designed spinning machine tailored to our specific production requirements, developed in collaboration with a Dutch specialist. This machine allows us to offer spinning solutions for large-diameter nozzles (particularly over 3,000 mm), ensuring precise results for the most complex geometries.
Our extensive fleet of MIG/MAG welding machines, paired with ISO 3834-2:2005-compliant quality management, enables us to weld all standard materials with confidence. Regular training, external testing, and Class Society approvals ensure consistent, certified quality.
Our Submerged Arc Welding (SAW) system combines a capacity of up to 1,200 A with NC-controlled manipulators, allowing us to weld components up to 30 tons and 7,800 mm in diameter, securely and efficiently.
We offer a wide range of machining capabilities, from conventional milling and turning to precision CNC-controlled horizontal boring. We machine components up to 7 tons and 3 × 2 × 2 meters in-house; larger workpieces are handled by our trusted machining partners.
Our in-house blast cabin can handle structures up to 7 × 7 × 4 meters. Using chilled cast steel grit and a full recycling loop, we achieve optimal surface preparation, perfectly aligned with our high-quality paint finishing standards.
From basic shop primers to advanced multi-layer coatings, our paint shop is equipped to handle a wide range of protective systems. With in-house paint mixing and quality control, we guarantee consistent results that meet or exceed manufacturer specifications.
